The best place to find souvenirs and gifts is the Yemenite Quarter. It's what they call a great shopping experience :) The area is picturesque because it's quite old and hasn't been restored. The best things to see there are the Carmel Market, where you can buy fresh fruits, bread and spices. Close by, on Nahalat Binyamin Street there are stylish, cosy cafes and shops, and on Friday there's a crafts market, where you can find souvenirs and, as a bonus, you can watch the street performers doing their thing.
