I went to Tel Aviv last summer and I think Momo's Hostel is the cheapest place you can find there and it's not bad at all as far as I'm concerned. It's lively and pretty clean, there's a neat cafe where I had a lot of fun meeting other backpackers and you can use the kitchen. The prices range from 7 to 20 Euros but you also get breakfast. During the summer, you can sleep on the roof for about 6 Euros. It's on Ben Yehuda St.
