2000 year stone tomb at Garden Tomb, East Jerusalem

Posted 1 year ago by avatar anyideas in response to avatar ginzo's question: We plan to visit East Jerusalem soon. What's worth seeing there? (give a different answer) .

My suggestion is to go to the Garden Tomb (2-5.30pm Mon-Sat). It's well known for the 2000 year old stone tomb, where Jesus Christ was laid after His crucifixion and rose from death. The garden around once belonged to Joseph of Arimathaea, the man who asked for the body of Jesus and buried it here. Location: Nablus Road, behind the stone wall.
