The most popular place for young people to meet is the Basement, an alternative rock bar. I know this because my brother spends almost every evening there. He took me there once, on a Sunday night, when anyone can step up and sing. And I think there’s live music on Saturday evenings. This bar is on HaVankeem St and it’s open until 3 in the morning.
