One hour drive from Jerusalem, the En-gedi is a shoreside oasis exploiting the cures of the Dead Sea. The sea mud is used for facials and beauty treatments since Queen of Sheba ruled, and Cleopatra herself is claimed to have resorted to them. The waters have a salt concentration seven times bigger than the Mediterranean, so the hot springs are rich in minerals. Then there's the rubbing with salt crystals mixed with fragrances of ancient oils.
